The International Workshop on Quality Control and Assurance in Higher Education, organized jointly by 21st Century Open University and Global Interfaith University- a comprehensive one-day event aimed at enhancing standards and fostering collaboration among global higher education institution, held on Saturday September 13, 2025. The workshop convened educators, administrators, accreditation bodies, policymakers, and researchers from around the world to discuss innovative strategies and best practices for maintaining and improving quality in higher education. The workshop was attended by 26 professors from 7 Universities. The following papers were presented:
The workshop began with an opening keynote address highlighting the evolving landscape of higher education quality assurance amidst technological advancements and globalization. This was followed by expert-led sessions into critical topics such as accreditation processes, curriculum development, faculty qualifications, student assessment, and the integration of digital learning environments.
Participants engaged in interactive workshops and case study presentations, providing opportunities for practical insights and knowledge exchange. Special emphasis was placed on fostering intercultural understanding and ethical standards in quality assurance, reflecting the collaborative ethos of the organizing universities. Networking sessions enabled attendees to establish meaningful connections, share innovative ideas, and explore potential partnerships for future projects.
The workshop was concluded with a strategic roundtable to synthesize key insights and outlines actionable recommendations for policy implementation and institutional improvement. By bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders, the workshop aimed to promote a culture of continuous quality enhancement in higher education worldwide. Ultimately, this one-day gathering aspired to strengthen global efforts towards achieving higher standards of academic excellence, inclusivity, and integrity in higher education institutions.
