The World Accreditation Commission (WAC) is distinguished by its alliance with:

- UNESCO,  Board of Quality Standards BQS, an independent international quality assurance regulator which are official partners of  International Quality Assurance Agencies for Higher Education (INQAAHE), - International Association of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE), Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific.

The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), a worldwide association with hundreds  of organizations dedicated to ensuring quality assurance in higher education.

INQAAHE collaborates closely with national and international accreditation bodies and academicians to maintain the highest educational standards globally.

 As a licensed member of  WAC, 21st Century Open University's license is jointly conferred with the Board of Quality Standards (BQS) and the World Accreditation Commission (WAC), an official ally of UNESCO on Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Standard (QS).

21st Century Open University was first founded in 2020 as 21st CMI in Nigeria for purposes of Higher Education and Professional Trainings and later moved its International Office to Texas as a Nonprofit, and Later to Wyoming.

21st Century Open University (21stCOU LLC) with File Number 001777383, is registered and licensed by the Wyoming Secretary of State under the Wyoming Business Corporation Act, cited as title 17 of the Wyoming Statutes in good standing, and its Operating Office at Wyoming maintaining all digital records transferred from inception .

21st COU still maintains its International Agent License Office at Texas, and Subsidiary Regional Operating Member in Nigeria Africa as  21st Century Open Universal College Ltd with Registered Company File Number 8705938 , Notarized Reference Number OK/RH/VOL2./2025/124 sealed by the Judiciary High Court , and other Liaison Centers globally 

The 21st COU Global Conglomerate is overseen by a Trust and Holding as 21st CMIT Inc.
