As part of our quality assurance process, all students are required to undergo degree evaluation, verification, equivalency, and embassy apostille procedures before receiving their final certification.
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to outline the procedures for degree evaluation, verification, equivalency, and embassy apostille for students of 21st Century Open University USA.
Scope:
This policy applies to all students who have completed their academic programs at 21st Century Open University USA and are eligible for certification.
Partner Institutions:
To facilitate the degree evaluation, verification, equivalency, and embassy apostille process, 21st Century Open University USA has partnered with the following institutions:
1. Crown University International Chartered Incorporated USA in cooperation with World Education Services (WES)
2. Global Interfaith University USA in cooperation with California University FCE USA
3. NextGen University International Chartered Incorporated USA
4. World Accreditation Commission (WAC) in partnership with UNESCO for Degree Verification and Evaluation
Chartered Licensure:
For chartered licensure for specific programs, 21st Century Open University USA has partnered with:
1. International Chartered World Learned Society USA in Partnership with UNESCO
Procedure:
1. Students who have completed their academic programs will have their transcripts submitted to the designated partner institution through the Office of the Registrar for degree evaluation, verification, and equivalency.
2. The partner institution as selected by the Registrar will evaluate and verify the student's degree and provide a report to 21st Century Open University USA.
3. Based on the report, 21st Century Open University USA will issue the final certification.
4. For students who require embassy apostille, the partner institution as selected by the Registrar will facilitate the apostille process in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
5. Students will be required to pay the applicable fees whether it be for degree evaluation, verification, equivalency, and embassy apostille services.
Timeline:
Students are advised to initiate the process for degree evaluation, verification, equivalency, and embassy apostille process within 30 days of thesis defense or well in advance.
Responsibilities:
- Students: Pay applicable fees as required information is sent to selected partners.
- Office of the Registrar: Submit transcripts to designated partner institution
- Partner Institutions: Evaluate , and verify degrees, provide reports, and facilitate embassy apostille process depending on program.
- 21st Century Open University USA: Issues final certification based on the report from the partner institution
